Hi.
Bladder cancer is not related to a fungus and I believe there is no reason to test for such after the procedure.
From what you have described, I believe that the procedure they will do is plain excision of the tumor through the stalk, with preservation of the entire urinary bladder. The bleeding would hopefully stop after this, since the cause of the bleeding (the tumor) will be removed. The post-operative intra-vesical chemotherapy with mitomycin is directed to lower the chance of the cancer returning.
The side effects of this chemotherapy may by difficulty in urination, bladder spasms with some form of pain or discomfort, but these should subside a few days after the instillation.
It is important for you to drink a lot of fluids in preparation and even after the procedure, so that residual bleeding can be flushed out and the bladder walls can be protected.
Regards.
