Hi. Last year I had these lumps in my neck which were swollen and slightly sore. the doctor first thought it was leukemia but the blood test did not reveal anything. it took more than 6 months to go away. 6 months after this I was diagnosed with aneamia and took meds for 3 months. about a month ago the lumps came back, four in the front of my neck and four at the back, 2 of them located just underneath my skull. 2 of them located on the tip of my skull. went to doc 2 days ago, gave me an injection in one just underneath my skull. severe pain for 4 days. apart from that feeling dizzy adn tummy always feels full. what can be wrong

Hello lindys1980, The lumps you are referring are called lymph nodes. The commonest cause is infections in the head and neck region or tumors for which they get swollen and inflamed. I would suggest you to go to a physician for an FNAC of the node to rule out any cancer or tumor. FNAC is fine needle aspiration cytology. The commonest reason thou is infection and tuberculosis is one of the main reason. Take suitable antibiotics and get your problem diagnosed by a general physician. Take care!
