Swollen lymph nodes, Lymphoma

Asked by tammy8 0; Swollen lymph nodes ) on Sun 12, Jul 2009 04:44pm

I have a swollen lymph node in the back of my neck and swollen lymph nodes in the groin. They are at least 2 cm. They have been swollen for a list a year and they are painless. Sometimes after showering I have severe itching of my lower legs. The itch is a burning itch and it happens mostly after taking a shower. Is is possible I have Lymphoma, Leukemia, or another type of cancer with the swollen lymph nodes and itchy lower legs? I will see a doctor, but was interested in having some idea of what it may be. Thank you.

Hi, Swollen lymph nodes can occur due to various causes. Some of the causes include infections, inflammatory conditions, autoimmune diseases, cancer etc. Please consult your doctor for a thorough examination and necessary investigations to ascertain the nature of the lymph node enlargement in your case.
