Hi,
Blisters on the tongue can be caused by reaction to certain medications, infection with herpes simplex virus, trauma from pointy teeth or food substance, poor hygiene, deficiencies of vitamin B complex and C, infection with Epstein-Barr virus, cancer, or other conditions causing immunodeficiency.
The most likely possibility is that it is due to vitamin deficiency, and this is followed by the possibility of infection, and trauma.
Ensure that you maintain oral hygiene by brushing after every meal, if possible. Increase intake of salads and fruits and have citrus fruit juices. Start taking oral vitamin B-complex and C supplements. You can also apply some glycerine to the blisters and take a mild painkiller for the pain. Contact your GP if the ulcers persist beyond 3 weeks.
