Hi,
The exact stage of endometrial cancer can be determined only after the surgery has been done. The standard surgery is a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection with collection of peritoneal washings for cytology. This is a radical procedure and is not possible to do entirely through the transvaginal route. It is important that a complete surgery is done preferably by a gynecologic oncologist. An incomplete surgery would compromise cure rates.
