lump on clitoris

Hi, Its very embarrassing, but about a month or so ago a lump appeared on my clitoral hood. It is hard like a stone and i can move it around. It becomes itchy if i wear tight clothing and sometimes have to sleep with no bottom half on as it becomes too irritable. It is clearish and looks slightly like a wart, but it isnt genital warts because i checked out those symptoms and saw a picture and it did not look like the picture.I have not got a clue what it could be. I am sexually active, with another female, but she has never had a sexual partner before so i can't see how it could be an STI. I had sex a year ago and not since. Is there a possibility that I have done it by masturbating? I sometimes use the shower head and put the jets on my clitoris, could this have caused the lump? I have tried using thrush cream on it but this had no effect.

Hi, This could be a Bartholin's abscess or cyst. There are glands in the vaginal lips called Bartholinís glands. These can become painful and swollen, and an abscess can form. This often causes blockage in the main duct from the gland, and a cyst develops. This is felt as a painless, hard swelling. In such cases, antibiotics may be helpful, or surgical treatment might be required. Other possibilities are boil, sebaceous cysts, etc. The only way to know the confirmed cause is a clinical examination by an OBG specialist. Regards.
