rapidly spreading testicular cancer

Asked by trafficsignalang (Male; 26; was in perfect health until 6 months ago; Relevant drugs:chemotherapy, pain meds ) on Mon 16, Nov 2009 07:09am

My 26 yr old son has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. Within 6 months, it has spread to his prostate, colon and brain. He is now on experimental chemo and they will start radiation because everything else has failed to stop the spread. How long before he succumbs to this disease?

Hi, I am sorry to hear about your son's condition. Advanced cancer is very hard on the patient and care givers. Please be strong. You have not provided details of the exact pathology, initial treatment received, response to the same, and current treatment ongoing. However, even if you had provided this information, it would have been impossible to predict the future with any degree of accuracy. As a general statement, testicular tumors (even in advanced stages)often respond well to treatment. I hope this is the case with your son. All the best, and God Bless!
