I had been suffering from constipation, which started three years ago without warning. When I passed stool, it was dry and
hard and looked like pellets. There were periods when it would correct itself, and then for some unknown reason I would get
constipated again. At the beginning of this year, it was particularly bothersome, so I would take Senokot twice a week for
some relief. One night, I had terrible abdominal pain and discomfort, as if my abdomen were on fire.Since May, I have had
three Ct scans one without contrast, two with, a colonoscopy, all blood work and urine tests, three usgs, an upper endoscopy,
and an endometrial biopsy. Everything came out normal, except the usg showed an adenomyosis of my uterus, which the doctor
told me was harmless, and if I could not wait until menopause, to consider hormones or a hysterectomy. I am glad everything
checked out, but I am so uncomfortable. I am not constipated any more, and I have bowel movements at least 5-6 times a week.
I do not have diarrhea, but some days I can have more than one bowel movement, especially during my menstrual cycle. My
abdomen hurts and feels sore every day, and I notice that the pain is worse after bowel movements. After I eat, I am always
having to clear my throat because my voice literally changes.I never see blood, and my FOBT and stool tests were negative for
blood.I am still waiting for test results on biopsies that were taken during upper endoscopy for food allergies and a stool
antigen test because I was diagnosed with h. pylori infection in September, and I was given a triple therapy for two weeks. I
have pain right in the middle of my stomach, and my lower abdomen, and sometimes a lot of rectal discomfort and pressure. I am
getting worried. Do you think it's possible something was missed during the colonoscopy? I was not diagnosed with UC or
Crohn's. The pain is not related to what I eat. I am trying to stay high fiber. Could I have some kind of an intestinal
infection? Sometimes, my belly feels as if it is being blown up with air, but I don't look bloated. Are there any other tests
I can have? During the colonscopy, no biopsies were taken. One Ct scan showed mild wall thickening of sigmoid. I don't know
what to do. My own doctor does not know what to say anymore.Thank you for your help
